Timothy M. Bateman, M.D. the Medical Director of Cardiovascular Imaging Technologies, LLC, Co-Director of Cardiovascular Radiologic Imaging, Saint-Luke’s Cardiovascular Consultants, P.A. and the Mid America Heart Institute, Kansas City, MO, and a Professor of Medicine at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. He is a Past-President of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology, current President of the InterSocietal Commission for the Accreditation of CT Laboratories, a Board Member of the InterSocietal Accreditation Commission, and a Board Member of the American Board of Internal Medicine — Cardiovascular Diseases. He is an editorial consultant for eleven major medical journals and has authored/coauthored over 500 book chapters, peer reviewed publications and abstracts. He has served as a blinded reader and independent reviewer for multiple phase I-IV clinical trials, and has been honored with numerous awards, including “50 Best Doctors in Kansas City” in 2002, 2004, 2006, 2009, and 2011 and the Distinguished Service Award of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology in 2005. His practice commitment and research interests are focused on appropriate utilization and optimization of cardiac imaging technologies for answering major clinical questions.
James A. Case, Ph.D. is the Managing Partner of Cardiovascular Imaging Technologies and Technical Director of CVIT. Dr. Case received his Ph.D. from the University of Massachusetts in 1998. He worked as medical physicist with over 20 years of experience in the field of nuclear cardiology, specializing in tracer kinetic modeling and image reconstruction. He holds academic appointments at the University of Missouri, Kansas City and serves with a leadership role in various professional organization focused on nuclear cardiology including the Board of Directors of the America Society of Nuclear Cardiology (2001–2002 and 2013-present), Board of Directors of the ASPIRE Foundation (2007–present), Cardiovascular Council of the Society of Nuclear Medicine, and physics section of the Certification Board Exam for Nuclear Cardiology. Dr. Case also has academic appointments and the University of Missouri, Kansas City in the School of Medicine and at the University of Missouri Columbia, Nuclear Engineering. He has authored over 200 abstracts, articles and book chapters. He is a reviewer for the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, The Journal of Nuclear Medicine, Medical Physics, IEEE-Transactions in Nuclear Science, Nuclear Medicine Communications, Biomed Central and the Journal of Applied Physics.
Staci A. Courter, MA, CCRP is the Chief Operating Officer at Cardiovascular Imaging Technologies and serves as the Quality Officer overseeing all of the GMP and GCP activities. She became a SoCRA-certified clinical research professional (CCRP) in 2009. She has experience with federal, central and local regulatory authorities ranging from the preparation and submission of Sponsor-Investigator INDs and 501(k) applications to quality system GMP and ICL GCP compliance. She has participated in the conduct of over 40 clinical trials ranging from Phase I through IV, as an enrolling site and imaging core laboratory Project Manager. In addition, she has assisted with the development and analysis presented in multiple poster presentations, published abstracts, white papers and manuscripts.
